If you’ve got a question not covered here, ask a staff member. Things will be added to this list as issues arise. Major changes to the list will be made as announcements, however small things will be added without a lot of fuss, so please keep yourself familiar with these, eh?

General Conduct
1. Being respectful is one of the most important rules here. If you're having a problem with another player and cannot settle the dispute quietly, I ask that you take the issue to PM's or to a staff member. If you're told to do something by a staffy, you will be expected to do it without arguing. If you feel that the said staffy is being unfair to you, report the issue to another.
Note: Any staff member found abusing their powers will be issued a warning. If it continues, further action may be taken, so let's play nice.
2. Be mature. If someone critiques your story for whatever reason, do not take it as a personal attack. They are just trying to help.If you feel this was particularly hurtful-contact a mod and you can settle it with them.
3. No spamming. This won't be tolerated in any form. Also-please refrain from chatting in a persons story post. This is somewhat rude, and there are chat areas if you just want to hang out and chitter among your friends.
4. Don’t start political, religious, controversial topic or lifestyle arguments or stories. This is a supposed to be a fun and friendly writing site. This doesn’t mean you can’t discuss these things, as long as it is done in a light, friendly manner. Try to stay away from things you know people might argue about, and respect other people’s views. Anyone found trying to deliberately start an argument will be warned, then banned. Again, use discretion. Also, don't discuss these things in the c-box. Make a thread, or take it to PM's.
5. Anyone found to be breaking the Proboards ToS will be punished accordingly. This includes the age restrictions – you must be over 13 or have a parent okay you to go on any Proboards site, including The Writers Club.
In short, just be nice to other players. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you, remember that. It pays off to be cool about things, so don't get over-heated and blow a gasket if things don't go your way.
7. You only need one account! Multiple accounts are confusing, and gives the site a false number of members.
8-(Suggested by Vkiki)No Foul Language!I don't care what happen,who said what,etc.I Don't want swearing,or any sexual/inappropriate terms.Got it?Get it?Good.
Writing Guidelines
I don't like to squander genius, and to be honest some of the best books I have read have had some mild language, gory scenes,or crushes. So I will be a little more lenient on these rules, however,STILL READ!!
Ratings/Warnings
I have devised a system of ratings/warnings to help keep people from reading stuff they don't want to read.Make sure these are the first things in your post/story,and make sure they're underlined. The ratings should be last in the title,in parenthesis.

EX- Moonlit Shadows(PG-13)
1-List of Ratings and Their Meanings
- G: May be seen/read by anyone, regardless of age. Stories rated G should contain no strong language, no violence, no sexual references and no references to nudity.
- PG:May be read by anyone, but readers should be aware that there may be occasional mild swear-words, oblique reference to sex or some kissing scenes, and brief and in passing reference to nudity.
- PG-13:Not recommended for anyone under the age of 13. These stories may contain some stronger language, violence, references to lovemaking and some more descriptive -- though not explicit -- sexual scenes. No detailed descriptions of full nudity are allowed, but references to above-the-waist nudity are acceptable if they are brief and not overly-explicit.There may be a handful of violence in this as well,so this would be what you choose for war stories, etc.
Be sure to explain what makes it this rating.
EX- Moonlit Shadows(PG-13)
Notes-This story contains gory/graphic war scenes.
