Since I really don't feel like posting every single poem separately, I'll just post two or three at a time


Sanctuary

Turning around, and just running away.
It seems to be the one thing I can do
Listen, if only you could hear me say,
“I will forever and always love you”
As I lay underneath a willow tree,
I stare at the crimson shades of sunset,
Listening to sounds of leaves around me,
And thinking about all the old regret.
If only you could see this refuge now,
How it’s been twisted and burned, changed and grown,
The creak of a falling and broken bough.
All the forgotten memories unknown.
See the way the tide softly hits the shore,
Trapped among the dead reeds forevermore.



Faith

Dance in the rain, no harm will ever come
Feel the wind as it caresses your skin,
Basking in the sun’s glow isn’t a sin.
Take a chance, nothing for you to run from.
Prance across the vast and wide open plain,
Leap over streams and believe in true love,
So many gifts from the bright stars above.
Remember, we’ll be together again…

These are my form poems from class. They follow a specific pattern of rhyming, and most of the ones I did have 10 syllables in each line, called Iambic Pentameter. People gave me funny looks every day when I was tapping the counter, counting the syllables

Haha,I know what you mean.We had to write blues songs in English with eight syllables in each line and I would be singing them out throughout the day.
